These papers also offer a partial overview of some previous studies having ceramic finds and unguentaria as their primary focus. These 18 papers, most of which are collaborative efforts, contribute to our corpus of extant works, as they bring to us several unpublished examples excavated in recent years. A great deal can be learned from these studies in connection with each other and with the archaeology as well as the history of the Graeco-Roman Mediterranean.
